The Chinese Language Teaching Center at Feng Chia University hosted the 5th Conference on Constructing and Reflecting Chinese Language Teaching on May 23 under the theme“Digital Transformation × AI Co-Learning: Future Perspectives for Chinese Language Education.” Co-organized by the National Science and Technology Council’s Center for Humanities and Social Sciences and the Department of Chinese Literature, the conference attracted Chinese language educators and researchers from schools at all levels across Taiwan to discuss the evolving philosophy and practice of Chinese language teaching in the AI era.
Walking Through Railway Stories and Urban Memory: FCU Chinese Literature Students Curate Exhibition at Taichung Station

Organized by the Department of Chinese Literature at Feng Chia University, Between Journeys: Urban Stations and Railway Professionals will officially open on May 30 at the Cross Corridor on the first floor of Taichung Railway Station and run through July 12. The exhibition is the annual outcome of the department’s Graphic Editing Project course. Through extensive interviews, field research, and editorial design, students explored Taiwan’s railway culture and documented the life stories of railway professionals, inviting the public to rediscover the human spirit behind Taiwan’s railways.

Breaking the traditional stereotype of Chinese Literature majors, the Department of Chinese Literature at Feng Chia University has successfully integrated humanities education with digital technology, showcasing impressive interdisciplinary achievements. At the recently concluded 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) National Championship, FCU students delivered outstanding performances. Among them, senior student Jo-Chu Chiang advanced to the national top four and earned the opportunity to represent Taiwan at the MOS World Championship to be held at Disneyland Resort in California, USA.

Feng Chia University held its first-ever “University-wide Freshman Project Competition” in 2025, guiding new students to immerse themselves in a CDIO learning environment centered on “learning by doing, doing by learning” from their very first day on campus. The project courses, held from September 2 to 3, featured outstanding teams from each department, who continued to refine their projects in their spare time. The final results exhibition was held at Virtuosi Hall from September 23 to 26, attracting over a thousand faculty and students for observation and exchange.
